Today I was at Wal-Mart, shopping. I found my self in the toys. Being the geek I am, I picked up a light-saber, feeling the urge to duel and wild a powerful weapon far more elegant than a clumsy blaster. Also in the toy section was a young male child, probably younger than 7, shopping with his young grandmother or elderly mother, I'm not sure which. As soon as he laid eyes upon me, he believed he was no longer shopping in a mere store, but now he was being challenged, his very honor at stake. He grabbed the nearest light-saber and came right at me. My many years of sword play kicked in and I promptly blocked the young warrior. Here was my chance, be an adult, put the toy down, tell the boy not to play with strangers and get back to his mother/grandmother. The only problem was, my honor too had now been challenged and instead of ending this odd display of young verses old, I went on the offensive.

The battle raged, the child showed no fear to my size or my years of advanced training. It was then I caught out of the corner of my eye, the boy's female guardian. Both shocked and horrified. Unsure of wither to scold the child for attacking and bothering a grown man, or quickly pull him away and call over the nearest security officer to deal with the crazed bearded man welding a light-saber.

In the end, the battle came to a draw, the young one was not skilled enough to defeat me and I, unable to find it within my heart to strike down this brave, but foolish lad.

I am not sure who the force was with that day, but one thing is clear. Why the hell didn't I have a camcorder to record that crazy event to post on youtube!!??
